Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Action Builder now supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), giving your organization a stronger layer of protection for every account.
Passwords alone can be compromised through phishing, data breaches, or credential sharing. MFA addresses this by requiring a second form of verification at login. Even if a password is exposed, an account cannot be accessed without that second step. For organizations managing sensitive contact data and campaign information, enabling MFA is one of the most effective steps you can take to keep your data secure.
How it works
When MFA is enabled, users log in with their password as usual. They are then prompted to enter a verification code as a second step before access is granted. This code is tied to the user's device or authenticator app, making it significantly harder for unauthorized users to gain access.
Getting started
For admins: You can make MFA required for all users in your organization, or manage it on a per-user basis from your account settings. Requiring MFA organization-wide is considered a security best practice, particularly for teams handling voter, member, or constituent data.
For all users: You can enable MFA on your own account at any time from your profile settings. We recommend setting it up even if your organization has not made it required.
Due Dates for Follow-Up Flags
You can now add a due date when flagging an entity for follow-up, making it easier to track and prioritize outreach across your team.
When a due date is set, it appears next to the flag icon on the Wall Chart and on the entity profile, so your team can see at a glance what needs attention. If a due date has passed, the flag turns red as a visual reminder that the follow-up is overdue.
Two new filters are also available in the Query Tool under Flagged for Follow-Up:
- Has Due Date: Returns all flagged entities that have a due date assigned.
- No Due Date: Returns all flagged entities that do not yet have a due date. Use this to find follow-ups that may still need one.
Bug Fixes and Enhancements
FIXED: Dashboard Column Width Alignment
The Dashboard was displaying at different column widths than other main pages with similar layouts. Column widths now match the Wall Chart and Activity Stream, so the layout stays consistent as you move between pages on desktop.
FIXED: "Select All" Checkbox in Chart View Appearing Pre-Selected
When using Graph by Field in Chart View, the "Select All" checkbox was appearing pre-filled, leading some users to believe all options were already selected. The checkbox now starts unchecked, matching the behavior in the Query Tool. Clicking it selects all available options.
FIXED: "Add New Response" Link Appearing in Log Conversations for Restricted Fields
When the "Allow any user to add new responses" setting was turned off for an info field, the "Add new response" link was still visible in the Log Conversation menu. The link no longer appears when the setting is turned off. This fix applies to Log Conversations only. Entity profiles and Tasks were not affected.
FIXED: Cut Turf Map Window Displaying Too Small
The map window used for cutting turf was displaying much smaller than intended, making it difficult to work with. The map window now opens at its full, correct size.
