Featured Update: Design Refresh
We’ve updated Action Builder’s look and feel to make it both more user-friendly and more accessible. The main navigation menu has moved to the left side of the screen, opening up more space for page content above the fold and reducing scrolling. Along with this change, we’ve refreshed colors, fonts, and layout details to create a cleaner, more consistent design that better aligns with our overall branding. These updates are meant to make your everyday workflows smoother while keeping the platform visually clear and accessible.
🔢 Customizable labels for assessment levels
Assessment level labels can now be defined by entity type! This flexibility lets you tailor how you track support, interest, or commitment for different groups. For example, the way you assess an organization can now differ from how you assess an individual’s involvement, making your data more relevant to the type of entity. Note: the number of assessment levels (and colors for each level) will remain the same across all entity types, you can just now change the label and description for each level per entity type.
💬 Add multiple spoken languages to an entity’s profile
Profiles now support recording more than one spoken language. This allows you to represent the real communication needs of your community and plan outreach more effectively. For example, if someone speaks both Spanish and English, you’ll know they can be contacted in either language, depending on context.
📤 Remove entities from campaign via upload
Campaign cleanup just got easier. You can now bulk remove people or entities from campaigns using an upload file. You can find it under Uploads, click the ‘New Upload’ button, and it’s now a third option after standard and deletion uploads.
📤 Upload multiple connections on an entity (including notes and fields)
Uploads now allow you to import multiple connections at once and attach notes to those connections. This is especially helpful when onboarding a new list, such as adding people with links to multiple worksites, and preserving context like “this person is also affiliated with another organization”
👥 Add connections when creating a new entity
Now when you add a new entity, you can also connect them to other entities as part of the same form. For example, if you meet a new member at a worksite, you can record both the person and their worksite connection in one step.
In order to enable this, go to the ‘Customize’ menu, ‘Entity Settings’ tab, and click on the entity type you want to add it to. Then click the ‘add field’ button and select the connection type you want to add.
🪪 City + State option for toplines
Toplines now have an additional address option; instead of showing the entity’s full address, you can just show City and State.
📊 Create a task from the Wall Chart
We have added a new workflow for creating tasks - starting from the Wall Chart. In order to create a task from the Wall Chart, create a query to select the entities you want to target, then click ‘Bulk Edit’ and ‘Add to Task’. From there you will be prompted with the usual Task creation process, and these targets will be added to the task.
🪪 Suffix field for names
A new field has been added to capture name suffixes like Jr., Sr., or III. This makes it easier to distinguish between family members or people with similar names, and keeps data standardized across campaigns. For instance, if two generations of members are active in your organization, their records will now be clearer.
