🪪 Profile - Pronouns
Exciting news – pronouns fields have arrived in Action Builder! Now, you can easily specify pronouns for individuals within your campaign, enhancing inclusivity and personalization. These pronoun fields are visible in various locations, such as the wall chart, entity profile, top search, and more.
With pronouns fields readily available next to entity names, you can ensure that everyone's identities are accurately represented across your campaign. Whether you're browsing the wall chart, checking out an entity's profile, or conducting a search, pronouns are now front and center, making communication and engagement more accurate and inclusive.
Pronouns show up in most places next to the entity name: wall chart, entity profile, top search, etc.
On the entity’s profile, they can be found with the name fields:
Pronouns are saved as a string (meaning, they can be anything), but in the name edit modal we ‘suggest’ a few common ones:
If you select ‘custom’, another input field appears:
In exports, name and pronouns share a checkbox, but have their own columns in the CSV.
Note:
When uploading pronouns to our system, please note that they are stored as strings. It's crucial for partners to standardize the format, casing, and other aspects of pronouns before uploading them. Our system does not automatically handle any formatting adjustments.
Additionally, we're pleased to inform you that pronouns are now available through our API. This integration feature allows seamless access to pronoun data for your projects and applications.
If you have any questions or need assistance with pronoun management, feel free to reach out to our support team.
💬 Conversation Button
Introducing the Conversation Button! We understand that sometimes users only need to capture a few essential details during a conversation, and setting up a Task can seem excessive. That's where the Conversation Button comes in handy. With this new feature, users can seamlessly capture key information without the need for extensive setup or task creation. Streamline your workflow and capture essential details effortlessly with the Conversation Button.
Setting up the Conversation Button
The first step to using this feature is setting it up. Under the campaign’s Customize tab, go to Entity Settings, then select the Entity Type you’d like to set this up for.
At the bottom of the entity’s settings you will see a section called Conversation Logging:
You can add core fields (names, contact info, assessments, etc), info fields, and/or connections to the conversation form.
*Like all campaign settings, this can only be edited by Leads and Admins.
Using the Conversation Button
The Conversation Button can be found (if enabled) alongside the other ‘quick actions’ on an entity.
Here it is on the Wall Chart:
And on an Entity Profile:
Once a user clicks ‘Log Conversation’, a 2-step modal comes up.
Step 1: Which contact method was used?
This defaults to ‘In Person’, but phone and email are options. You can also add a new phone number or email address from here as well.
After clicking "Log Conversation & Continue," the conversation will be logged and promptly appear on the Activity Stream as follows:
You can filter the Activity Stream for ‘Conversations Logged’ now as well.
Step 2: Add or update the person’s information
The second ‘page’ of the modal lists the fields that have been set up in the entity settings.
Any of these updates will show up in the Activity Stream as separate activities, as if you had just gone in and manually updated all of these things individually.
📈 Activity Stream - Filter by User Role
You can now filter the Activity Stream by User Role.
📓 Add a note when adding a new entity
Now, apart from the capability to include fields in the 'Create new entity' form, users can also enable the option to add a note. This feature can be accessed within 'Entity Settings' under each Entity Type.
Once it’s added, a note field will show up on the ‘create new entity’ form:
🪲 Bugs & UX Enhancements
🛣️ Driving directions routing error
Many users reported issues when creating a driving route for a ‘home visit’ canvass. We found the cause and fixed it, but please let us know if you still see any weirdness.
📥 Adding entity ID back into exports
On our recent updates to standard export, we removed the entity ID. We got feedback that having that ID is useful for a variety of reasons, including generating links directly to entities. So, it’s back now!
🇨🇦 Canadian addresses
There was a bug that was preventing Canadian addresses from being uploaded correctly. It is now fixed. As long as you use a valid 2-letter US state or Canadian provincial abbreviation, the country will be set accordingly.
