*Only Admins and Leads have access to this feature.
Toplines let you choose specific details about an individual for your organizers and activists to quickly view on the Wall Chart and entity Profile pages. This feature is only accessible to leads and admins.
To adjust your toplines:
- Navigate to your campaign
- Click on the "Customize" link in the left sidebar
- Choose "Toplines"
From there, pick either the "Entity" or "Connection" for which you'd like to set the toplines. You can opt for details from an entity's core fields, notes, custom info fields, or existing connections in the system. The numbers on the left indicate the sequence in which these details will be shown.
When you select a "Connection," a pop-up window will appear allowing you to set the toplines within that specific connection. However, you'll only be able to choose from the fields related to that particular connection.
Towards the bottom, there's an option to adjust the "Highlighted Topline." This is the line that shows directly below the entity's name on the wallchart. Two different options are available in the dropdown when choosing an entity’s address - either the full address, or just the City and State. Home Address (City,State) was designed especially for Highlighted Toplines to help keep your wall chart view readable.
Your Highlighted Topline can also be a connection and can even include responses associated with that connection.
To set this up:
- First, select "connection" as the entity's Highlighted Topline.
- Next, for that connection, pick the desired connection field as the Highlighted Topline.
Here's a practical example:
Let's say there's a "Person" entity and a "Workplace" entity, with a "Department" info field describing the relationship on the People + Workplace Connection. If I set the People + Workplace connection as the Highlighted Topline for "People," and then set "Department" as the Highlighted Topline for the People + Workplace Connection, the result will show both "Workplace" and "Department" under a person's Highlighted Topline, as illustrated below:
When customizing a Connection, you have the ability to determine the toplines that will show on the information page beneath an individual's specific connection. By setting the Highlighted Topline, you can display a specific field directly below the entity's name, making it visible without the need to open the full entity details.
Show Notes in Toplines
You have the option to display "notes" as the primary topline feature. When an entity has several notes, they'll be presented in the following order:
- The latest pinned note.
- The most recent note.
The content of the note will be limited to two lines.
