Ever wanted to create a field, upload data into it and *not* have it edited or changed by other users? This is where 'Read Only' fields come in! Some organizations use it for membership data, or key data points that they are uploading from another database. You can use it for any data point you don't want edited. As an admin you can upload data to a 'read only' field or edit/add responses directly in a person's profile.
Setting a Field as Read Only
In Info Administration, when you click 'Add' or 'Edit' a field, you'll see a toggle to 'Make this field "read only" for anyone other than admins".
'Read Only' status can be toggled on or off at will! So if you have a particular week you don't want responses changed you can lock them temporarily.
What Other Users See
When an activist, organizer or lead goes to a person's profile they can see the data but will not have the option to click "+ Add", instead they will see the text "Read Only".
