Understanding Assessments in Action Builder
Assessments in Action Builder are custom fields that serve as the foundation of a campaign. These fields are set up initially by a campaign lead or admin. During this initial setup, the scale can be set to whatever is most suitable for the campaign. After setup, the scale becomes fixed, but you can still modify the color and text description of each assessment level.
Labels for Assessment levels can be defined by entity type. Assessment numbers and colors remain the same across all Entities and Campaigns, but you can change the labels and descriptions for each type. This flexibility lets you tailor how to track support, interest, or commitment for different types of entities. For example, you can choose more relevant labels and descriptions to assess Organizations as potential coalition partners that’s different from Assessment labels for People.
It's important to note that the interpretation of assessment levels can differ in practice from one campaign to another. If you're working on a campaign, it's crucial to discuss with your campaign leads about the meanings of each level. Also, consistent communication among team members ensures that everyone uses the assessments in the same way. This uniform approach helps maintain consistency and clarity throughout the campaign.
