This feature is available to all users
The Activity Stream is a view that provides a breakdown of all activities and updates made in the campaign. It is particularly useful for doing debriefs by being able to filter to what activities were completed by a user in a given time period. (Ex: How much work was accomplished by Organizer Rosa in Action Builder this week?) It is also an easy way to get counts of particular activities. (Ex: How many assessments were updated in the month of June?)
While this feature is available to all users, Activists are only able to see their own activities on the Activity Stream.
Accessing the Activity Stream
To access the Activity Stream, click on the tab right next to the "Wall Chart" button at the top.
To access it on a mobile device, click on the three dots in the top right corner, and then click "Activity Stream".
Once you access the tab, you will see a running list of all the activities and updates that have taken place in that campaign since Action Builder rolled out the Activity Stream feature in April 2020.
The activities and updates that are logged in the Activity Stream are:
- Assessments
- Including showing what the previous assessment level was
- Notes
- Responses
- Jobs
- Relationships
- Email/Address/Phone
- Including changes to the status (e.g. bad, confirmed) and type (mobile, home, work)
- New record created
- New record added to campaign
- Person promoted as a user
- Flag for Follow Up
Using the Filter
You can filter the Activity Stream by the date(s) of the activity, the user who did the activity, and the activity itself. The activities you can filter by are:
- Assessments
- Notes
- Relationships
- Users Promoted
- New Records Added
You can also filter on:
- All Responses / Specific Responses
- Connections
- Address
- Phone Number
- Specific Note content: you can search the content of notes.
The filter either appears on the right side of the page if you are accessing Action Builder on a computer or a large table, or on the bottom if you are accessing it on a phone or smaller table. Unlike the filter on the Wall Chart, when you select multiple filters, the result will be of activities that fit in ANY of those activities. For example, if you select Assessments and Notes, it will show any record that has had an assessment applied OR has had a note created.
In the example below, the Activity Stream is filtered to a date range (04/03/2020) and a user (J.M. Colt). On the top left, you can get a count of how many actions were completed by J.M. Colt on April 3 (4 updates).
