Using 'Householding' in Tasks: One House Visit for Multi-Member Households – Action Builder

The householding feature in the Tasks section of Action Builder is designed to maximize the efficiency of your home visits. When you're out connecting with targets, it's beneficial to engage with all members of the same household in one go. This feature is available to all user types.

Here's how you can make the most of this feature:

Practical Application: If you're conducting a home visit and there are multiple members from your target list present, the Householding feature ensures you don't miss out on any potential interactions. Connect with each of them seamlessly and effectively.
When to Use: This feature is specifically available for tasks labeled as 'Home Visit' canvass type.
Navigating Through the Household: Once you've confirmed the canvass status for one individual in a household, the system will automatically prompt you with the next member at the same address.
Activating Householding: While you're on the Task's page, look for the Householding option in the top right corner. From there, you can toggle this feature on or off as needed.

By using the Householding option, you can ensure comprehensive and efficient outreach during your home visits.

Turf Routing Limits

When creating turfs for canvassing, Action Builder now alerts you if your turf exceeds routing limits.

Routing Limit Warning: Google Maps supports a maximum of 21 route-able addresses for driving directions. If a turf includes more than 21 valid addresses, you’ll see a warning that the turf is too large for routing. This gives you the chance to split or adjust the turf before canvassers try to create a route.

Householding Consideration: If householding is enabled for a task, multiple entities at the same address will count as a single address in the routing total. This helps ensure larger turfs are still route-able when multiple people share a location.
